banana muffin time!

My friends and I are going to sweden on wednesday. On tuesday the day before we're going to have a girls spa day! We're going to make our own facemasks and have mani's and pedi's. I saw this awesome "recipe" for a hair mask on http://www.realbeauty.com/.

It goes like this:

1 banana
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. honey
5 tbsp. olive oil

I made it like 10 minutes ago and slurped it in my hair. Haha I stood in my bathtub on my bra and panties with dishwashing gloves and a towel around my neck cause it was soooooo messy! I have a bag on my head right now because you were supposed to rinse it out in about 20-30 minutes. I can't wait to see how it turns out! My hair smells like banana muffins yummmmy!

I'll dedicate my next post to telling y'all about how this turned out.

We may have no cash, but we have ALOT of ash.

So, here in Iceland.. EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN ASH! The trees, grass, sidewalks, cars, houses, windows. Everything. And everything is just gray and disgusting. You can't go outside without getting your new Forever 21 Stretch skinnyjeans that only cost you $9.80 all covered up in ash!

But as you may have read in the post below, I got alot of magazines lately. In the May issue of 17 they talk alot about teen pregnancy espiecially in the article "Could Hollywood trick you into getting pregnant?" And it's basically about how tv-shows and movies are displaying pregnancy as an easy thing or in other words don't show the nasty stuff like : gaining alot of weight, crazy stretchmarks, horrible heartburns, endless pain in labor and so much more! (I am taking this knowledge straight out of the article I don't know anything about being preggers-hahah) The article feauteres 4 girls who talk about their expierence which is in every case not nice. The parents throw you out, your friends get distant and you all of a sudden can't handle school and need a job to pay for things that your baby needs. The tv shows and movies that are mentioned kind of having a bad influence and not being realistic about this are : 90210, Gossip Girl, Juno, Teen Mom, The Pregnancy Pact, Glee. But why am I blogging about this? Because the June/July issue of Teen Vogue has almost the same article! Or the same subject. The article "baby mama" is about Maci, this girl who was on the show 16 and pregnant and just her expierence. Otherwise it's just the same!

Teen Vogue times three. plus a little orgasm's via fabric

Sooooo my parents came back from San Francisco and brought : CLOTHES, MAGAZINES, CANDYYY, BOOKS AND MORE. actually no more. whatever. I got three Teen Vogue´s and four Seventeen´s, they haven´t gone in a while so it´s three-four months worth of magazines. And then CLOTHES. Stuff my mom chose and  I WILL POST PICTURES. yayy.

I got to go, so it's gonna be short. I´m off to seeeeee SEX AND THE CITY 2! (capslock much?) I have never watched the shows or the first movie so i totally suck! I am the only person i know who hasn't seen anything satc! But you gotta start somewhere, right?

Same episodes, same characters.. AMAZING CHARACTERS. I say well done casting director, a couple of the most beautiful people in the world together on screen. Orgasm. I love Chuck Bass's smile. He looks really weird in season 1, so young and so little hair so does Dan. KIWI. I love Dan now he's a guy I would love as a; brother, friend, bestfriend but boyfriend NOOO.

 So I was taking the SATs so i haven't blogged for a loooooong time. But i did take pictures!! Yeyyyyy.

P.S. I have a newfound love for Glee! Mark Salling is soooooo hooooot. (Also a newfound love; multiple vowels.)

I was 1/3 sick. I look so tired but i loooooveeeee those leggings. they are from American Apparel. They are striped, which is kind of hard to see in that picture. The vest is an old denim jacket from Gap Kids. I cut off the sleeves, I´m thinking of bleaching it. The tank is Gap Body. And the scarf from an Anthropologie sale. I have never had so much Gap on hahah.

Hilarious. That was like the best picture of that outfit. It was really simple. A Gap T-shirt and Vero Moda jeggings. Oh yeah and Sephora Cherry on top nailpolish.  It´s weird I wore all the stuff I have from Gap in like 2 days straight.

Okay. this is obviousy not an outfit. I just thought this was a tremendous shape. Yeah I had an egg for breakfast. lol

Here in Iceland is like so hooooot right now! And it's unbelievable that it's over 80°F in early may! Im off to meet my friend to go swimming in 20 minutes or so. But one thing first! Any of you guys that have heard Signs with The Noisettes could you tell me if its there original or just some cover of an old song or what? It really reminds me of a song by Red Hot Chili Peppers but im not sure.

After some feature in Teen Vogue i am in love with Erin Wasson! Her looks; everything!
Anyway this week i have:

• been reading or ehm trying desperatly to finish Dear John. I still love the story and everything it´s just i ruined it with seeing the movie while reading it. Not AFTER reading it. haha.
• Fallen in love with lace. Aha a little late but still.
• Discovered a 100% icelandic blog that even blogs in icelandic.
• Discovered cool stores, vintage and new, in Iceland that i had no clue what so ever that they exsisted. All thanks to Svart á Hvítu. The Icelandic blog.

Nothing more really. Sadly. But seeing that the owner of Harrods is selling got me thinking of a funny expierience so here goes; I was in London with my mom and we were spendin our last day shopping (Not like the other days werent spent the same) And we see Harrods. And of course we walk in. Then I need to pee so I say that i´m gonna go to the restroom where they by the way had like all kinds of perfumes and lotions to use after your number 1 or 2. And I told my mom that we should just meet at some specific hallway in 30 min. And I browse and browse and browse. And then I wait for her there and she doesn´t show up! Then 20 min. later this security guy comes and tells me to follow him. He leads me to the offices and there is my mom. She had reported that I was missing. And god how akward! I walked with security through the whole 1st floor! I was so humiliated and the people that helped my mom noticed and said "Don't worry it happens all the time" DON'T WORRY! I was beyond akward+being so humiliated.

Hi. I've startet nearly all my post with the words "it's been a crazy week" or "AAhh I haven't had time to blog at all". But no now I am going to start by saying : I've never been this thankful for having the ability to hear. This week I discovered Lykke Li and The Noisettes. Also I downloaded MGMT's new album. And of course I already knew who they were, DAH.
Anyway I'm off to watching Live videos of When you were young with um um um THE NOISETTES.

Velvet is so having a comeback on the runway! It was so forgotten, this beautiful piece of fabric. “I don’t use fur, so I was looking for fabrics that felt as rich and soft to the touch,” says the modern designer Rachel Roy. Dolce and Gabbana, Antonio Berardi, Alexander Wang and Richard Nicoll are all donning velvet on the runway. I myself own a pair of burgundy velvet leggings that i love. They are so comfy and super stylish. They go with everything. I found a photo of trousers in Alexander Wang´s collection and they look just like mine! Note* I gott mine in Forever 21 for $9.80.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! According to http://www.fashionista.com/ Teen Vogue is thinking about a reality tv-show! I mean why not. Teen Vogue (have to spell it in it's whole name, cause abreviating it tv won't work i guess) had such a saying on The Hills and that turned out great. And it would be great to see a positive reality series that documents the hard work people do in making a break-through magazine. I love the idea.
