Velvet's comeback.

Velvet; One who can be smooth and loveable, or esp. cuddly. If rubbed the wrong way, can turn into the opposite definition, says http://www.urbandictionary.com/. Velvet is so having a comeback on the runway! It was so forgotten, this beautiful piece of fabric. “I don’t use fur, so I was looking for fabrics that felt as rich and soft to the touch,” says the modern designer Rachel Roy. Dolce and Gabbana, Antonio Berardi, Alexander Wang and Richard Nicoll are all donning velvet on the runway. I myself own a pair of burgundy velvet leggings that i love. They are so comfy and super stylish. They go with everything. I found a photo of trousers in Alexander Wang´s collection and they look just like mine! Note* I gott mine in Forever 21 for $9.80.

Short but Sweet.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! According to http://www.fashionista.com/ Teen Vogue is thinking about a reality tv-show! I mean why not. Teen Vogue (have to spell it in it's whole name, cause abreviating it tv won't work i guess) had such a saying on The Hills and that turned out great. And it would be great to see a positive reality series that documents the hard work people do in making a break-through magazine. I love the idea.

oh lawd.

Wow! So much going on I haven't been able to BLOG! This weekend was all about our school musical. We chose Dirty Dancing! I am in the band but it's still fun. And I was pracitcing like crazy for this piano recital. I had some relaxation time in the end of it and went to see Dear John with 2 of my dear friends. I loved it. I actually cried. The dad was so cute, I loved him. I am currently reading the book. I was at the chapters were John is leaving when I saw the movie. I just couldn't resist, could I. I just had to spoil the book!
I am still a proud watcher of Gossip Girl and 90210. Not obsessed but really enthusiastic. I love those shows you wait a whole week to watch. haha. I liked the band Adrianna is in; The Glorious Steinems. I never knew who she was (Gloria Steinem). But after watching, my social studies teacher announced we were supposed to write an essay on one person who tried to changed something politically. I wrote it on Gloria Steinem. Thanks 90210!

I changed my profile photo! It is old old old old old old. I love it though. I was "tidying up" my computer and deleting old stuff. And this is from my first prom, my friend took like 10 pictures that were really normal and all pretty the same and the last one was this one. I lol'd. Anyway i am going back to sleep!

Love Always.

If i had the money i would totally buy all these and many more. I am so  in love with every single piece of footwear i lay my eyes on.

muses and inspirations.

Ok, so i have been thinking alot about the future lately. My whole life i've wanted to be a doctor. The past year has been completely mind-blowing. I discovered fashion. I got the Teen Vogue Handbook for christmas 2008 (i think). I read inspiring stories and wonderful job descriptions and for first time since i was born i considered the pros and cons of not becoming a doctor. I want to be a beauty editor. For those who have read the Teen Vogue Handbook, Eva Chen's story inspired me so much. I have a couple of years but i don't want to waste any time!

I am turning into a music blogger; yesterday Florence+The Machine today VV Brown! (Both featured in issues of Teen Vogue) She is the ultimate feel-good-musician! When ur feeling down, download a song or two and turn that frown up-side down!

long time no see!

Wow I haven't blogged in a long time! I have been so busy! Basically just homework. My icelandic teacher is nuts. She thinks we only devote our time to the beautiful language; icelandic. But I don't get caught up on that because I care a lot about her and she has been one of the best teachers I have ever had! I absolutely love thursdays-nothing to do after school. I like that one day in the week where there is nothing to do! Just relax. Recently I discovered a band called Florence+The Machine. It's this red headed girl from London who just randomly picks friends to do something (sing, play instrument) in her songs and it turns into these amazing songs. And the lyrics are brilliant! I read that on wikipedia (yes i googled them) I don't know if it is true or not but whatever I like the idea of it. I realized a couple months ago that Teen Vogue interviewed them. And I loved it so much I cut it out and read it like every night. I'm one of those odd people who can not throw away magazines! I have like 80 and I love 'em. I like to use them for a muse of a new outfit. I am thinking of watching the new show of Gossip Girl. Chuck Bass equals love.

P.S. I thought I was so smart to write this entry in Microsoft Word but then I realized you can't copy paste. FAIL.

feel like a fail.

My bestfriend and I have kinda stopped talking to eachother for no reason. Just something random and unexpected, I guess we just dont have anything to talk about? Good news though my so obvious countdown to LONDON is still going on and there is my friends and fellow bloggers 18 days!! But the day I come home my second bestfriend (or first??) will be leaving to go to Arizona for 2 whole MONTHS!!! I mean her brother lives there and all, but she is my only priority, friends wise, right now. I so don't wan't to lose her at this horrible time.

I sit here in my room grieving my lost friendship, listening to florence+the machines, unconciously check my phone every 2 minutes waiting for a text from her with something like a forgiveness for being such a bi***. Sorry.

Love Always.

I'm desperate for DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!

I am so obsessed with Desperate Housewives. I started on the 1st season again last week and I am well on my way to the second! I also have an obsession for SHOES! There are so many shoes I love and I want! We don't have Urban Outfitters in Iceland, but in London-yes! Urban Outfitters is my favorite store to get cute bargains. I don't look for the whole outfit there, it's more about choosing one color piece to match with a black outfit that needs life. I also love there shoes, they are so cheap and super awesome!

Omgod, I am gonna flip when I get to London in about 27 days. Cant wait!!

excitement? check. money? check. passports? check.

I am going to London in only 28 days! I am kind of worried about the shopping, if i shop to much that is. Ofcourse I want to but I am also going to Sweden in the summer, and I need money there. Home of H&M for crying out loud. I thought of outting down all the stuff I don´t need, it is much more fun than making a list of things I need, cause I need more than I have. *laughs, and wants to put a smiley but won't that is so myspace* Tommorrow I am going to buy a zipper. I need a new zipper for my Lillian Vernon bag, it is so classic. Denim with two little girls laughing. A childhood memory for sure when I got that. I am thinking electric pink or bright red, anything but navy (the only color that really goes with it). I was also thinking of buying some kind of rope to attach to my body shop makeup bag. First of all I have way too much makeup bags in my bedroom. And second of all I want a sling-over-the-shoulder bag, and I can't afford a new one, or I think I can't. I'll update you on how that goes. And then I need to see this girl I am doing a duet with on the piano, not very exciting.

hahahahha lol!

This weekend is gonna be great!!! I am gonna go to the movies with all my friends to see Valentines Day!!! A movie I have been dying to see!!!!!!!!! little hyper.

love always.

so long farewell

Desperately trying to clean my room but ending up on listening to the Sound of Music Soundtrack - great! I hate clutter, and that is what is in my room right now; clutter. I sit here and have nothing to do except read blogs, BLOGS, BLOGS, BLOGS! I do not hope to become the next Tavi Gevinson even though the idea of becoming famous for a blog, seeing shows, being a muse, meeting KARL LAGERFELD is so exciting and interesting i am gonna have to say no thanks. My favorite blogs are : Style Rookie (Tavi Gevinson, the lucky girl who met The Legend) and FabBlab (some girl in Mumbai). My Teen Vogue february issue just came in a little late even though it is still february. I loved it though, the covergirl is just such a good choice! Jessica Szohr and her style is so amazing and inspiring! And the fact that she is dating superhot Ed Westwick doesn't make her less decent at all, well i am kind of jealous.

Probably the most famous photo of them. Gosh, a hot couple.

I also liked the talking fashion feature, photographs of M.O.D.s (models off duty) Sasha Pivovarova and Ali Michael were my fave. Fashion Blogger Jane Keltner caught my eye with a report on Jane Aldridge a senior in high school who has her own shoeline! I just realised I love the name Jane. Last Look on the last page was really interesting, a girl in Manhattan in a room like a spaceship that has a rug on her wall and wears a gorgeous Betsey Johnson dress! My room is basically clean by now, i am such a multitasker.

London in what 39 days ?

Good Morning! I am feeling so good right now! London in so little time, and new clothes have reached my doorsteps! A Heritage 1981 stripe dress with buttons, burgundy velvet leggings, strawberry necklace, ultrahip sunglasses and so much more! I also got the Teen Vogue Handbook, a book about everything fashion. With tips from all the pros.. MARC JACOBS!!! I also got Seventeen's 500 Beauty Secrets.. love at first sight! Then all my magazines 2x seventeen and 1x teen vogue :)
From looking at the teen vogue handbook, i got really inspired, i want to be something in fashion, model no, designer maybe, stylist maybe, photographer no, fashion editor yes! I loved the interview with Anna Wintour. I am so inspired right now, i want an internship pronto. But i need to think it all the way through, because i have always wanted to be a doctor, specifically in "ER" or "Greys Anatomy". I mean it's almost time for college, and what do i wanna major in? do i want medschool or vogue internship? tough choice...

Love Always
